Appearances Suggest EA Already Abandoning the Wii U
Recent developments have brought into question whether EA will be supporting the Nintendo Wii U in a reliable manner going forward. At the Q3 financial call last week CEO John Riccitiello made sure to avoid lumping the relatively new console in with the company's definition of the next generation of gaming. (more…)...
Wrapping Up Initial Wii U Coverage
The outlook for the Nintendo Wii U has never seemed especially bright. There is a level of confusion about what the new system is - many don't even realize it is more than just a new controller - and it arrives a year before Sony and Microsoft roll out their new hardware that will instantly make it feel as though it is a generation behind. That the console is readily available at retailers even following Black Friday is a sign of either surprisingly low awareness and consumer interest or muc...
Initial Impressions of NBA 2K13 on Wii U
Of the three major sports titles to release alongside the Nintendo Wii U it's NBA 2K13 that delivers the product that most closely matches the 360/PS3 version in content. Yet while the tablet controller features are definitely useful they're also the least interactive. (more…)...
Initial Impressions of FIFA 13 on Wii U
FIFA 13 on the Nintendo Wii U offers a satisfying overall experience but inherently the unique features of the system are not completely natural to take advantage of during free-flowing gameplay. The plan is to look at them from a perspective of comparison to the 360 and PS3 versions - given that they're supposed to be on par with what's found already on those systems - as well as how well they stand on their own. The mai...

The Wii U version however is lacking some of the gameplay enhancements introduced on the 360/PS3 this year such as the "First Touch" ball-handling system and also goes without Ultimate Team mode. Basically game...
