    Earlier this month EA Sports detailed all the additions and improvements coming to FIFA 16 relating to presentation. Those include an authentic Bundesliga package, updated likenesses, new crowd chants, sideline celebrations, and vanishing spray.     EA Sports has multiple reasons to be heavily motivated in developing new modes for their games that could beecome money-makers in the years to come. Following the explosion of Ultimate Team, the search for the next one is on, and the first attempt at that are the "draft" modes in Madden NFL 16 and FIFA 16.   • First DLC out now for Rocket League

    The Supersonic Fury DLC Pack for Rocket League is now available to download on PlayStation 4 and PC. It arrives shortly after the release of the game's second patch which went out on Tuesday. It goes for $3.99 and includes two new cars and new paint types, boosts and wheels.     The demo for Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PS3, and 360.     It may be coming one year too late to take full advantage of an opening presented by the competition, which will now be offering up a similar mode by the very same name late next month, but the announcement of Live Pro-Am for NBA Live 16 is a significant one.     Tap Sports Football is out now for both iOS devices through iTunes and Android devices through Google Play. The new game features the NFLPA license which provides the rights to the pool of real current players. It's free-to-play though the option is there of course to spend money on upgrading the team faster. The turn-based game comes from the same team behind Tap Sports Baseball which was one of last year's best mobile sports games and prior to that Your Turn Football.  (more...

    The NHL 16 EA Sports Hockey League beta has now been open for a week - and it remains so through tomorrow - providing an unprecedented (for the sports gaming genre) glimpse at the game which isn't due out until mid-September. EASHL was a mode that I found very compelling when it launched in NHL 09, and played heavily that year and a few that followed.
