    The closed beta for EA Sports UFC 2 opens up today and in advance of that the publisher held a live stream to go over the new Ultimate Team mode, which was detailed thoroughly yesterday, and feature stretches of gameplay. The audio from creative director Brian Hayes and UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson was out of snyc but it's an informative look at a few elements of the upcoming game that runs for over two hours.  (more…)...

    Details and a new video released today have gone further into detail on how Ultimate Team will work in EA Sports UFC 2. The mode features "teams" of up to five fighters in different weight classes, coins to purchase packs containing special items boosting fighter performance, and customization to improve and alter moves and attributes.     MLB The Show 16 had the first reveal of feature details and teaser trailer early last month. That included "Showtime" (a bullet-time type feature for Road to the Show and Player Lock), retractable roofs, six classic stadiums, new cards for Diamond Dynasty, and mention of two new modes that were being held back to announce at a later date.     The closed beta for EA Sports UFC 2 won't kick off for most people until late next week but footage has already made it out thanks to a live stream held by UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.     When the pre-order incentive for EA Sports UFC 2 was revealed to include three fighters, but only two were being named, it was obvious that the one being held back would not be a traditional fighter and have some sort of story behind them.     Another patch arrived today for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour that delivers a new course to the game. TPC Stadium Course at PGA West is the latest addition, playable in Career as well as online modes, and it joins two other real-world courses and one fantasy course provided through post-release content updates.     Today BANDAI NAMCO announced a new free-to-play multiplayer PC game called Winning Putt. Golfers begin unskilled but improve and level up over time, earning new abilities and upgraded gear. It's now in open beta, which offers up seven courses, foursome matches, and challenges against other golfers in betting rounds where in-game currency can be wagered.
