IGN has posted up a sizzle trailer for NBA Live 08. If there is one thing you can always rely on, it's that EA will put out trailers that really make the game seem exciting. Despite the issues that I laid out in my community day report, after watching this I get the itch to get back playing the game some more. It really is unprecedented the amount of access, info, and media out on a game that is still four months away from release. ...

Click here for Part 1 Next up was a series of training mini-games. One was for fielding, in which a ball machine shot at you and you had to make a play on them. Padre caught 9 and missed 2, which was good enough to move on to the one for contact hitting. In this one you had to hit enough fair balls out of 10 pitches and Padre hit 10/10. The final one was for running, in which you had to run through an obstacle course using RT to sprint and A to jump over or slide under. After completing...

2K has released a new official trailer for APF 2K8 and Gamespot has posted up some gameplay videos. It is refreshing that now, instead of the marketing being the topic of discussion, it will be the actual game that is talked about heading towards release. The demo is going to be a big part of that, something I'm sure everyone is looking forward to. ...

2K Sports has released a new trailer for APF 2K8 showing off a wide array of catch animations. For the most part they do look really good. It is encouraging that they released something new for the game and a trailer such as this does a good job increasing awareness and getting it more attention. The animations were expected to be a strong point so it is no surprise that they come across well in a highlight trailer. There will be five more of these type of videos coming in the near future. ...

Gametrailers has really been pushing out a ton of videos for NCAA Football 08 lately. Here are the two newest ones. The first video shows off an interception return for a TD. You then get the user going through and creating the highlight video as well as see a glimpse at "My Shrine". The second one shows off gameplay as Florida faces off against Georgia. Click through to the full article to view the videos as well as my notes on them. (more…)...

In the third entry detailing and showing off specific improvements in Madden 08 (previous ones featured sideline catches and gang tackling), VJ LeBlanc goes over what is new with the blocking in the game. There is way too much included for me to recap it, so I'd suggest you check out the full blog writeup. You can read it in its entirety here. For the video below: 1. The first example is of a defender sinking the double team, allowing the linebacker to (potentially) make a tackle. 2...
  • NBA Live 08 “Go to Moves” video

IGN has released a new video featuring the idea of "Go to Moves" in the game. Producer Brian Ulrich introduces how the superstar players have more than just their signature shots but they have their own unique moves. The footage is pulled directly from gameplay and looks quite good for this early in development. How well the go to moves flow within gameplay will be the most important thing, however for an early look at them (Kobe, Dirk, Wade) their moves appear to be well represented. ...
