  • NCAA Football 08 gang tackling video

In my impressions I mentioned that the gang tackling was "decent but seems inconsistent". In this video I display what I meant by that with examples from the demo. Overall the gang tackling is certainly a positive addition to the game. It definitely changes some of the outcomes when you compare it to previous years where a ball carrier would fall forward for 5 more yards or just outright break a tackle before another defender could attempt one. However as you'll see in the video there are insta...

I did up a quick video showing off the difference between the high and low hitsticks in NCAA Football 08. I didn't spend a lot of time collecting examples, but it should show it off well enough. I'll be doing more of these types of videos over the coming days for different features or additions to the game. ...

Here is the first highlight video I put together with footage from the NCAA Football demo. Keep in mind this was completed at just about 3:45am so I question how good it might be. Regardless I hope you guys enjoy it. I'll keep doing videos over the coming days as well as posting my full impressions of the demo along with some screenshots. ...

Thus far a decent amount of information has been released regarding the Wii version of Madden 08. Now IGN has posted up the first true hands-on impressions of the game along with two videos. In general, Wii motion controls are easier to use, so big hits on defense and head-down plowing are simpler and are much quicker in response time. As part of the full Mii incorporation, each player will now use a profile at all times, and the on-screen move indicators will now show the Mii head as well...

IGN has detailed the new "Hot Spots" for NBA Live 08. This is the final in the series of four new features being unveiled for the game. Hot Spots are a visual feature. On offense, you can hold down the Left Bumper or L1 to see a color-coded guide to a ball handlers strengths and weaknesses on the court. Depending on the player, you'll see patches of purple for cold zones, red for hot spots and yellow for moderate areas. These are the spots the player has shown to have the most success. Tha...

Previously: Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 The next challenge was to beat the Nationals in a 5 inning game, in which a victory would bring the opportunity to steal one of their players. Down 2-1 in the top of the 4th, Marcus Giles tied it up with an RBI double, and then Jose Cruz Jr. pinch hit and got a 2 RBI double to push the score to 4-2. However in the bottom of the 4th, Brian Schneider hit a game tying 2 run HR. In the bottom of the 5th, an RBI single scored the winning run for Washington. Pa...
  • NCAA Football 08 Campus Legend tutorial video

Gametrailers has released the tutorial from NCAA Football 08 going through the Campus Legend mode. The best thing this video demonstrates is the new camera angles. The angles previously have killed RFTH and Superstar modes for me. That has stung especially since I'm far more interested in them than I am in Dynasty or Franchise. My favorite position to play is CB, and it has been near impossible in the past to do so. Now I can't wait to start it up. ...
