NBA Live OTP night two recap
Both of the second night games were evenly matched and well played. I've definitely noticed improvement as everyone playing has gotten more comfortable with the mode, their assignments, and communication. One aspect I haven't really written much about is how great it is to have communication with only your teammates. Another two games of NBA Live 08 OTP will be played tonight and after the success of the first night I'm really looking forward to it. The games were a lot of fun and it was nice to have some teamwork and ball distribution to go along with no lag to speak of. The six minute quarters seemed to be the right length as well. MLB 2K8 IGN hands-on and videos
IGN has posted up the first hands-on preview and four short gameplay clips for MLB 2K8. The improvements to the gameplay and new mechanics are the main focus of the preview. When people think of baseball they think of four key elements: batting, pitching, fielding, and throwing. 2K Sports has changed the way you'll be doing each of these for MLB 2K8. FIFA Street 3 demo impressions and video
Going in to playing the demo, which came out for the 360 and PS3 earlier today, I didn't really know what I would think of it. I've taken a liking to the games on the "arcade" side more over the past few years enjoying those such as NBA Street, The BIGS, and NFL Tour. However I'm not a soccer fan and don't relate to or recognize the majority of the players so would that make the game less enjoyable? I really like the visual style of the game. The blitz is on with media from MLB 08: The Show. Earlier IGN released a few short gameplay clips. Now both gametrailers and gamevideos have posted footage of their own. GV has Yankees vs Red Sox, while GT has the same NY-BOS matchup in one and a second features Braves vs Mets. They run from a little over a minute up to 2 1/2 minutes long. MLB 08: The Show gameplay videos and screenshots
IGN has posted up a new set of screenshots (some of which are menu screens) as well as three gameplay videos from MLB 08: The Show (PS3). The gameplay screenshots definitely don't have the same crisp look to them as the others that have been released and it may be that they weren't captured in HD. NFL Tour Tournament Results
Thanks to everyone who took part in the tournament. It went relatively smoothly and turned out to be a lot of fun. It was nice having a large group in just enjoying the games. The lack of time commitment for each one was a real benefit to coordinating and completing the tournament successfully. Here is the final bracket.
