Gametrailers has posted up the premiere trailer for EA Sports Facebreaker. The arcade boxing title was just recently announced and is tentatively slated to release in early November. The developers of Fight Night Round 3 have assembled the most ferocious boxers on the planet in an epic display of speed, power, and ego. As predicted the trailer doesn't show off any in-ring footage, being that it is still approximately 10 months from release that is no surprise. It does feature a couple of...

IGN has posted a piece detailing the new use of the right analog stick for pitching and throwing as a fielder. While the topic has been gone over in general through previews of the game here they are discussed a little more specifically. Included are some videos that demonstrate what it looks like when completed successfully vs unsuccessfully. If they work as they're supposed to I think both of these changes will add to the enjoyment of the game. Where I lose interest with the right stick...

A couple weeks ago Dwight Howard and Al Horford were announced to be the cover athletes and spokesmen for NBA Ballers: Chosen One. The box art features Howard on the front and (presumably) Horford on the back. Click the thumbnail below to view it full size. Midway has just released the announcement trailer which spotlights Chuck D who takes over as MC and Just Blaze who handles soundtrack duties. Also included is some brief gameplay footage. 2K has released the first trailer for MLB 2K8. The general reaction thus far has been mixed. Not the usual level of excitement that is generally brought about by initial trailers. One big area of contention is how the sound effects vary from what is found in the first gameplay videos. Either the videos are from an old build which didn't include the sound effect upgrades or the trailer has just those added in for dramatic effect. Regardless it's yet another area of confusion surrounding 2K...

The first four short clips of MLB 2K8 recently released by IGN were met with a general sense of disappointment. It was the first chance to see the game in motion and the improvements that had been talked about but they weren't really evident given the length of the videos and what was chosen to be shown. So naturally the next look at the game comes from a foreign source with the audio being out of sync. Again it does little to raise the expectations of the 360 owners anticipating the game...
