The Physics of FNR4
EA Sports has released a new trailer for Fight Night Round 4 that focuses on the new physics engine. Some of the aspects specifically displayed in the video include inside fighting, punching through blocks, and glancing blows. These are all things that people have been hoping for and from what I've seen of the game at the very least appear to be natural and fluid. Prince Fielder Cover Athlete For The BIGS 2
The first screenshot and a new trailer for The BIGS 2 is now out featuring cover athlete Prince Fielder. You can check out the full size screen in the gallery. While it has a similar look to the original The BIGS the player model of Fielder appears to be less exaggerated. The players in the game were overly stocky and large and here is Fielder, who is a big guy, and he almost looks more like you'd see him in a sim baseball offering. NCAA Tournament Featured Game 3/21
The round of 32 begins today and for the featured game I've selected #7 Texas vs #2 Duke. Both teams were impressive in their first round victories. The Blue Devils go into this game as a seven point favorite and the tip-off is estimated for 8:15 ET. I was going to do another highlight reel however the clip uploading to EASW hasn't been working. NCAA Tournament Featured Game 3/19
Throughout the NCAA Basketball Tournament I'm going to feature a game on the slate for the following day. I'll play through one of the games I find most intriguing with NCAA Basketball 09 and post up the results. FNR4 Gameplay Trailer
IGN has the first trailer for Fight Night Round 4 that includes actual gameplay footage. The trailer attempts to display some different new aspects of the game such as the importance of height and reach and being one punch away from victory. The BIGS 2 Trailer
As mentioned last week a trailer arrived on copies of MLB 2K9 for the sequel to The BIGS. Ironically The BIGS is a game that had better graphics and played more sim in some ways than the MLB 2K franchise did and still does. It was one of the first sports games to offer an online co-op mode, which while limited was a lot of fun. The strategical elements were well done and the gameplay was very clean. While it is very much an arcade game it wasn't too over the top, just more of an exaggeration...

First Thoughts and Videos from MLB 2K9
With MLB 2K9 out today I recorded a couple innings in HD and also decided to drop some early thoughts on the game.
