Here is another set of HD quality Madden 10 gameplay videos. Featured in this bunch of videos are the Redskins @ Eagles (in the snow), Packers @ Lions, Chiefs @ Raiders (in the rain), and Chargers @ Broncos (in heavy snow with the "wide" camera angle). Weather conditions really have an effect as you'll see players slipping on occasion. When that happens as a WR the icon disappears and as a QB you are momentarily unable to throw. Tomorrow afternoon I'll get up some clips from online games ...

Here is the first group of HD quality videos I've captured from Madden 10. In this batch you'll find short clips against the CPU with the Dolphins @ Jets, Buccaneers @ Saints, and the halftime show from Rams @ Seahawks. There are also user vs user late 4th quarter videos as I attempt to make a comeback as the Texans against the Vikings and Jerkfacefave attempts a comeback late as the Titans against the Panthers in a defensive battle. Tonight I'll add in some more videos against the CPU as we...

One frequent request for the Madden series has been for the addition of a playable broadcast camera angle. The devs are currently working on one that could roll out with either the second patch or as free downloadable content. EA has posted up a video displaying the work-in-progress broadcast camera. Continue on to check it out and leave your thoughts in the comments. (more…)...
  • The BIGS 2 Initial Impressions

With all that has been going on lately I haven't had much chance to delve into The BIGS 2. This being the sequel to one of my favorite sports games of this generation I had high hopes. At the same time I somewhat expected it to not achieve those hopes because the original was such a surprise and it would only be building off of that. From the demo it was clear the game would remain similar enough but with several enhancements to the experience though a questionable change to the camera. Woul...

Reaction to the demo for Madden NFL 10 thus far has fallen on the positive side. Well, at least that is the case for those who can actually get a feel for the game by having access to the extended demo. While I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate playing the demo I wanted to drop some initial notes I took from running through it a few times and from thinking back to how it compares with the E3 build. Continue on to check out the impressions, screenshots, and video. (more…)...

The "first look" trailer for NBA Live 10 is out now courtesy of IGN and focuses on footage from the Cavs @ Magic. This is one of those trailers that will show a lot of flash so the value will come from checking out the graphics, signature additions, and flow of movement and animations. I'm usually not impressed by early hype trailers but this one looks especially good. Continue on to check out the video and leave your thoughts in the comments! (more…)...
  • NCAA Football 10: Pastapadre vs Utopia

It was the Pasta University Ninjas vs the Utopia Legends yesterday as I faced off against Chris Jacobs representing ncaaStrategies. Using our community constructed teams consisting of forum members we played NCAA Football 10 online on the PS3. It was a clean and enjoyable game albeit probably too short given the number of possessions we each had with the five minute quarters. Outside of a portion of the 2nd quarter that I was unable to capture I recorded the entire game. Continue on to watch...
  • Madden 10 OF Super Bowl Video

EA Sports has released a video chronicling the events of the Online Franchise Super Bowl that some in the office had been participating in. Lead developer Ian Cummings was able to get his Titans to the Super Bowl to take on the Cowboys. The video contains a good deal of quality gameplay footage. Keep in mind that the video comes from an old build, probably two months old or thereabouts. There wouldn't be a way to update the build and transfer over an existing franchise. So some things not...
