The always funny Onion News (if you're not watching SportsDome on Comedy Central you're missing out) takes a look at Madden 12 and its new feature that will bring the realism of concussions to your living room. The new device will "simulate Sunday's biggest hits by firing pistons directly into players' skulls". This is great but c'mon Onion, wired controllers? This is what Kinect was created for! ...

Many gamers had seemingly been on the fence regarding MLB 11: The Show heading into its demo release on Tuesday. I certainly fell amongst them, and in the end I could end up being disappointed yet again if the online play remains dismal. However after having spent a good deal of time with the demo I can safely say that what had been largely stale is no longer thanks in large part to the new analog controls. (more…)...

With just two weeks until release 2K Sports has finally provided an opportunity to see MLB 2K11 in action. Last week brought the first glimpse of the game made up of off-camera footage. This however offers the first high quality captured footage of the game and runs for approximately 10 minutes with the Phillies @ Rockies in in the NLCS. Still no word on a demo but the assumption is that it will arrive next Tuesday otherwise they'll have missed the prerelease window. The timing of the video...

It should be concerning that the arrival of MLB 2K11 is just over two weeks away and no gameplay videos have been released. 2K Sports is not even sending preview builds out to media sites this year. Though the series somewhat recovered with 2K10 the last thing it needed going into 2K11 was the sense that it was being hidden or protected from criticism. A prerelease demo will certainly be critical in establishing it as a capable title but has not yet been announced. Today brings the first op...

Ever since its official announcement last year the majority of discussion around Supremacy MMA has regarded the brutal, underground nature of the fighting. That remains controversial but with release in June creeping up it looks as though 505 Games has turned attention to some of the other aspects of the game which is probably a smart move to make. That first began with the news of Jens Pulver's involvement and now comes the first look at the game's story mode. The trailer doesn't show much...

New to the game this year are stadium specific (and fully functional) jumbotrons and the weather conditions include rain and fog. Just days after discovering Fight Night Champion is being worked on for a release on mobile platforms comes the first look at another EA Sports franchise set to make the move. NBA Jam is being developed for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with no release date yet determined. One would imagine EA would be targeting April to coincide with the NBA Playoffs. (Update: EA Sports has announced it will be out on Thursday February 10th, way earlier than anticipated!) The game will include Play Now,...
