The Office To End After Ninth Season
The next season of The Office will be its last. NBC has announced that the show will come to an end after the upcoming ninth season which begins on September 20th. That will allow them to bring back a number of past stars in an attempt and send it off on a high note.

NBC Plans Dwight Schrute Spin-Off
Though still doing admirably ratings wise The Office has seen a big drop in relevance and quality since the departure of Steve Carell. NBC currently plans to keep the series going into a ninth season in which they'll phase out Rainn Wilson's character of Dwight Schrute and transition him to a series of his own for mid-season 2013.

James Spader Close to Becoming New Boss on The Office
The search for the replacement for Steve Carrel on The Office may be nearing its conclusion. Last year's finale introduced a number of prospective new bosses for the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. Though fan response was split amongst the respective candidates the favorite coming out of it looked to be James Spader and he is now in talks to join the show full-time.
