    EA Sports today began uncovering the player ratings for Madden NFL 12. With release of the game being pushed to the end of August expect the ratings reveals to be dragged out over the coming weeks. Keep in mind that the team breakdowns represent the default rosters which will ship with the game and predate all the offseason movement that began last week.     Quarterbacks are likely the most difficult position to rate for incoming rookies. As the most high profile position fans tend to know them and have cemented certain perceptions and expectations. Those rarely matter though as even top QBs often sit on the bench for a year or two meaning no contribution in Madden.     ESPN has started laying out team overall ratings by division in the lead-up to the player rating reveals which will begin in early August. The team ratings are somewhat meaningless at this point given free agency is still yet to occur and major trades could happen but it does provide an opportunity to see any impact from rookies and how the rosters are as they currently stand.   • Top Ten Rated Rookies in Madden NFL 12

    Yesterday EA Sports released the names of the four players rated 99 overall in Madden NFL 12. They have followed that up with the top ten overall rated rookies. As anticipated the Cardinals snagged the highest rated rookie in the draft with Patrick Peterson but he will share the honor with the Bills' Marcell Dareus.     EA Sports is beginning to release some player ratings for Madden NFL 12 and is expected to stretch the process out over the next month. That has started by identifying the 99 overall rated players. Patriots QB Tom Brady, Chargers TE Antonio Gates, Steelers SS Troy Polamalu, and Jets CB Darrelle Revis are the four that will begin the 2011-2012 season with the coveted 99.     Oklahoma will enter the 2011 season as the top ranked team in NCAA Football 12. Tradition Sports Online obtained the complete list of team ratings which includes the breakdown in categories - offense, defense, special teams - as well as the "prestige" rating which tops out at six.
