The demo for NCAA Football 12 arrives tomorrow and it seems to hold added importance this year. NCAA's absence from the floor of E3 clearly stagnated its momentum at an inopportune time and follow-up footage of the game has failed to raise enthusiasm. The demo however provides the opportunity to regain traction as release nears. The demo features two separate matchups (Alabama at Florida State and Oregon at Texas) and allows for the unlocking of five different Nike Pro Combat jerseys for ...

At #2 the Timberwolves hung onto their choice and took PF Derrick Williams and will likely look to deal one of their big men to make room. The Jazz followed up at #3 by taking C Enes Kanter who'...

This last week brought about the initial reveal of features for Madden NFL 12 accented by the trailers for both gameplay and presentation. The focus on authenticity and gameplay related enhancements has elicited a more positive reaction than has become the norm for Madden. Certainly it contrasts to last year as the "simpler, quicker, deeper" mantra which was met with a level of disdain. Vote in the polls below (results to be revealed next week) and leave any additional thoughts in the commen...

The preparation of a "subscription service" by EA Sports has created widespread discussion throughout gaming communities. Though nothing is official yet the documents and surveys circulating suggest optional value add-ons for a yearly fee ranging from $14.99 to $34.99 are on the way. The "service" looks to be akin to a loyalty program, an idea EA also flirted with in the past, though with an upfront fee and perks that go beyond simple discounts. Comments regarding the idea of a subscripti...

Baseball has become the only major sport that has direct competition and for MLB 11: The Show and MLB 2K11 even that takes place on just one console. As the two still fight for market share consumers have started to show signs of fatigue towards them for very different reasons. In response MLB 11 added analog controls and 2K11 brought back the perfect game contest. Early reports this year indicate sales are down for both games. For a few years now though this hasn't been a competition at ...
