    MLB 12: The Show won out in the player face battle against MLB 2K12 by a greater margin than originally anticipated. Though once again each game had their share of faces that turned out better than the opposition 2K12 had far more that were missed on in and usually in embarrassing fashion. Over 41,000 total votes were cast and the final tally comes in at 21-6 in favor of The Show.     One of the most popular features every year is the player face comparison between competing titles and MLB 12: The Show vs MLB 2K12 presents the only real competition until the new set of NBA releases arrive in the fall.     After a four month void of new sports game releases - it's hard to believe it has been that long - February essentially kicks off the 2012 season with a trio of offerings. The 14th brings UFC Undisputed 3 after nearly a two year gap in the series as well as EA Sports' Grand Slam Tennis 2 (their first tennis title on 360/PS3) while the reboot of the popular SSX series arrives on the 28th.     Last week ratings handler Donny Moore raised the idea of giving out the elusive 100 overall rating in Madden NFL 12 and the three primary MVP candidates were cited as being on the cusp of such an honor. Following the divisional round of the playoffs naturally perceptions of Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady will have somewhat shifted.
