Yahoo! has posted the trailer for the upcoming film I'm Still Here. The documentary is the directorial debut of Casey Affleck and follows Joaquin Phoenix's 'retirement' from acting and new career in hip hop. I'm not sure what to think of this whole thing. Is it a hoax? Is it something done for publicity? The fact that Affleck and Phoenix are brother-in-laws also adds to my skepticism. It just seems too unreal to be taken seriously. Although from the trailer it looks rather serious and dark. ...

Paramount has released the first trailer for Jackass 3D. Word around Comic-Con from those who saw the trailer and limited footage in 3D was how ridiculous it was, which of course is exactly the type of reaction being sought. The addition of 3D is sure to rile up fans of the first two movies that combined to make $136 million. Jackass 3D is slated to release on October 15th. ...

The first trailer for the alien invasion movie Skyline has arrived. Starring Eric Balfour and Donald Faison the story centers on a group of friends trying to survive as alien crafts begin swallowing up all human life. Skyline had an interesting panel at Comic-Con. This trailer was not what was shown (we got a different trailer and several minutes of footage). Basically Skyline is a completely independent film, done on a very low budget, actually filmed out of the apartment owned by the brot...

At Comic-Con the main cast for The Avengers was showcased but Marvel also showed a brief teaser trailer for the film. Obviously since they haven't started shooting there is no footage included but the voice-over by Samuel L. Jackson is enough to generate some real anticipation as the huge project is actually being realized. Starring Jackson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner The Avengers is slated to release on May 4th 2012. ...

Believe it or not there are still several films that debuted trailers or footage at Comic-Con that have yet to roll anything out to the public. One of those was Don't Be Afraid of the Dark which has now delivered the trailer that was shown at its panel. Written and produced by Guillermo Del Toro it is a remake of the 1973 made-for-TV movie about a young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend only to discover that creatures in the home want to claim her as one of their own. ...
