NCAA Basketball Series Officially Canceled
It was just a matter of time until EA Sports confirmed the cancellation of the NCAA Basketball franchise. On Monday I outlined all the indications that resulted in the conclusion that the series would not continue past this last release of NCAA Basketball 10. EA has now made a statement to Game Informer to put whatever question remained about its status to rest.
We do not have an NCAA Basketball game in development at this time, and we’re currently reviewing the future of our NCAA Bask...
Brock Lesnar Gets UFC 2010 Cover
Things finally appear to be gearing up for UFC Undisputed 2010. The trailer in early December and rumored roster is all that has made its way out until now. THQ has revealed that Brock Lesnar will be on the cover of UFC Undisputed 2010. In an interview with Gamespot this news and some details on the game were discussed.
This is somewhat surprising given that Lesnar has been out due to a serious illness for months. He does plan to be back this year though and is definitely one of the most ma...
The Three Madden 11 Cover Candidates
With ESPN announcing the names and the website now displaying them, the three players selected by EA Sports to be eligible for the Madden 11 cover vote can now be laid out as well as having a winner named from the contest I ran on Wednesday evening. The hints I provided allowed for narrowing down the possibilities but there were different ways to interpret them and different ways to piece together the three and still meet all those criteria.
Drew Brees is the clear favorite to win the vote ...
Making Sense of the Mike Wang News
Both EA Sports and 2K Sports have now presented their spin on the Mike Wang departure from EA and return to 2K. EA states that NBA Live will continue with a sim focus while 2K is attempting to make Live look bad while boosting their own cred. As with most things of this nature the truth likely lies somewhere in between the the extremes being presented.

Mike Wang Reunites With 2K Sports
We now know why EA Sports was eager to reveal that lead gameplay designer Mike Wang had left NBA Live after just over a year on the series. Wang is returning to the NBA 2K team. I've been talking about the developments throughout the evening on my Twitter and ESPN has posted up an interview with him that details why he left and adds concerns about the future of NBA Live.
"When I went over there (to EA), a lot of it was for personal reasons. I wanted to try something new, try a new challenge. ...
Exclusive MLB 10: The Show Screenshots
SCEA has graciously sent over a batch of 19 screenshots from MLB 10: The Show exclusive to the site. I will be releasing them over the course of the week. For today I have posted up the first seven of these screens which can be found in the gallery. Included in this set are cover athlete Joe Mauer in three of the images at new Target Field, the Orioles manager in the dugout being profiled, and a pitch thrown behind a batter. Feel free to leave your thoughts on the screenshots in the comments a...
How To Vote On The Madden 11 Cover
Given the news of the Doritos promotion from earlier this morning I went out to the store to get more details. For the first time the Madden cover will be determined by a voting process. Visit this website in order to participate. In addition to voting for the cover athlete of Madden 11 you'll be entered for a chance to win prizes including a trip to the NFL Draft.
Despite my attempts to navigate the website I have been unable to locate anywhere to vote on the Madden 11 cover. It could be t...
3D Gaming Not Imminent for EA Sports
There has been a lot of discussion recently about 3D gaming and even some developments towards it becoming a reality. Earlier this month at CES it was MLB 10: The Show on display in 3D. Now EA Sports president Peter Moore has addressed it by talking about it in an interview earlier this week.
Absolutely. I'm not making any announcements, but it's no coincidence that of the 3D [TV] broadcasts I've seen in the last two years, I can count the NBA All-Star event in Las Vegas, while ESPN has annou...
