EA Sports has released some new screenshots for NHL 11 and the very first screen for FIFA 11. They can be found in the gallery! The screens for NHL are meant to show off some of the improvements to the game including real-time physics, broken sticks, new face-off system and new dekes. Check out ESPN's preview for more on what to expect out of NHL 11. News on FIFA 11 is expected to hit sometime this week in advance of E3....
Thoughts on Madden 11’s Online Scouting
Last week the online scouting feature was revealed for Madden 11. This was to be an compelling addition, something that could lead to more balance in online play and the ability to better implement and execute strategy. No team in sports goes into a game without having knowledge of their opponent so this is a natural extension of the sport to gaming. Then the disappointment set in when it was found that "coins" (used to buy scouting reports) will be for sales on the marketplace and the scoutin...
Les Grossman Movie in the Works
When Tom Cruise brought back his Les Grossman character for the MTV Movie Awards this past weekend it prompted many to wonder what the motivation was to do so. The character, introduced nearly two years ago in Tropic Thunder, stole that movie and apparently did the same at the MTV Movie Awards. Still what was the relevancy that prompted him to bring that character back out now?
It looks as though Cruise is working on a movie based on the character which he confirmed to E Online. This would ...

Today EA Sports has released the second matchup which will be Florida State vs Florida. Four new screenshots featuring the teams can now be found in the gallery! Additional NCAA Football 11 Demo Details
Earlier today it was revealed that Ohio State and Miami would be included in the NCAA Football 11 demo. As noted it was not explicitly stated that they would be the only teams in the demo. I've since been able to get some additional details on how the demo will be constructed as well as a change to when the demo will be out for the PS3.
There will be eight teams total within the demo and they will be selectable in four different matchups. That means that OSU vs Miami is one of the matchups ...
New Trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I
Last night at the MTV Movie Awards Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I had a new trailer unveiled. Prior to now all that has been seen from the film has been through a teaser included on DVD copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Voldemort’s power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore’s work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But little ...
Padrecast: Pre-E3 Edition
The final Padrecast before E3 arrives is an epic one with Dylan (aka Jerkfacefave) joining myself and Fred. There is discussion about what we are looking forward to out of E3 but first we run down some of the news of the week including our thoughts on UFC 2010 and 3D gaming. We then turn to some comic book adaptation talk which inevitably leads to Kim Kardashian and Ken Jeong coming up before finishing with our feelings on Splice and Get Him to the Greek. Below is just some of what is discusse...
Shrek Wins Another Weekend By Default
Despite being considered a pretty big disappointment Shrek Forever After has won its third straight weekend this time pulling in $25 million with the competition relatively flat. The four new openers really didn't even provide much of a challenge. The box office crown will finally change hands next week though with the release of The A-Team and The Karate Kid.
The strongest openers were Get Him to the Greek and Killers with $17.4 million and $16.1 million respectively. Greek came in right a...
