EA Sports has released the NFL week three set of “moments” to purchase in Madden Moments Live. They feature the Falcons pulling off the OT win at New Orleans, Leon Washington helping the Seahawks to an upset win over the Chargers, and the Dolphins coming up short against the Jets. These "moments" provide the opportunity to change each game's outcome. Falcons at Saints: Talk of the South - Two teams from the NFC South went into this weekend fighting for control of the division. • New Trailer for Skyline

The full theatrical trailer for the sic-fi thriller Skyline has arrived. This was a movie I hadn't even heard of until sitting in on the panel at Comic-Con where we were shown a full trailer and some additional footage. I came away especially intrigued because it was done on a small budget and independently financed, to the extent that it was even filmed out of the apartment owned by the directors, but somehow they pulled off visuals in line with event-style blockbusters. This full trailer ...

George Lucas has reportedly given the go-ahead to release all six of the Star Wars films theatrically in 3D beginning in 2012. The plan is to start with Episode I - The Phantom Menace and then release them over the course of six years with one each year. That would leave Episode VI - Return of the Jedi to close things out in 2017. The films would be converted to 3D, a process that has fatigued audiences and resulted in dwindling returns due to poor results. However Lucas is known for being ...
  • NBA 2K11 Now Faced With Difficulties That Come With Owning the Market

The announcement that EA Sports has delayed NBA Elite 11 was surely met by applause at 2K Sports as it leaves NBA 2K11 as the sole "sim" release for this season. 2K11 was already in position to blow Elite out of the water in sales but now it finds itself owning the entire market. However as the Madden franchise has learned that can bring about a level of scrutiny that is sometimes difficult to deal with and expectations that can almost be impossible to meet. (more…)...

  • FIFA 11 Experiencing Online Pass Trouble

An issue relating to the redemption of "Online Pass" codes for the Xbox 360 version of FIFA 11 has struck on release day of the game. I received numerous emails and tweets, verified by several postings on the FIFA 11 forums, that some users in the US are experiencing an inability to redeem the code. Those consumers are receiving a message that the code is invalid or has already been used once having input it for the first time. EA Sports has now released a statement that they are working wi...

Fox has sent down word that after two episodes they have officially canceled Lone Star. The series which had aired Mondays at 9pm will be replaced by Lie to Me which is having its premiere moved up to October 4th. It had been originally scheduled to come back on Wednesdays starting November 10th and what will take its place there remains uncertain. Lone Star was a critical darling heading into its premiere but started with a horrendously low 1.3 18-49 rating and despite efforts to produce a...
