NBA 2K11 is getting rave reviews for its gameplay and offline modes and deservedly so. Once I have had enough time with the game to comfortably craft my impressions that will be a big part of the discussion. However the main concern going into the release of the game was how well online play would hold up. Two days into release now it is fair to start evaluating online. (more…)...

  • NBA 2K11 Jordan Challenge Impressions

The Michael Jordan mode most heavily marketed in NBA 2K11 is the "Jordan Challenge" which presents a set of 10 different scenarios to complete based on many of the biggest moments in his career. I went into the mode uncertain of whether it would be something that I'd continue playing past making a few, likely futile, attempts. Despite some initial frustrations it has almost an addictive quality to it and I am enjoying it much more than anticipated. (more…)...
  • NBA 2K11 Hard Drive Evaluation

Continuing with the series of Xbox 360 hard drive installation evaluations I've gone through and compared several areas of NBA2K11 based on loading times from the disk vs the hard drive. With the NBA 2K series the initial booting sequence has typically been lengthy due to how many different things load prior to reaching the main menu but within the menus has generally been quick. That is definitely the case again this year. NBA 2K11 is the biggest install of a sports game yet but unfortunately...

Three games are featured with the Jaguars dramatic upset over the Colts, the Bengals trying to avoid getting beat by the Browns, and the Broncos making a late drive to beat the Titans on the slate this week. Colts at Jaguars: Scobee Dooby Doo - When we say that Madden Moments LIVE puts you in the shoes of the players, we mean it literally...when we're tal...

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the official title of the upcoming third (and presumably final) film in what director Michael Bay has referred to as the Transformers trilogy. Though there aren't many details on the story for the movie yet we do know that it will have to do with NASA, the space race between the U.S. and Russia, and the motivation behind why the countries were so desperately trying to get to the moon. Amazon also listed three Transformers novels known as "Transformers: The ...

The Vikings have officially traded for WR Randy Moss bringing him back to where his career began in 1998. In exchange the Patriots received a third round draft pick. Given the magnitude of this move it will be worked into this week's Madden 11 roster update. (more…)...
