As a sequel to the 1982 film, marketing as of late has downplayed the "Legacy" portion of the Tron: Legacy title in ads. The original also has not been re-released on DVD or gotten a Blu-ray release. Clearly this is because Disney feels that the original could potentially turn off viewers from wanting to see the sequel. Tron: Legacy works well as a standalone film, but unfortunately the final product ends up feeling very similar to the original. The visuals are fantastic but the story is la...

One of the most significant changes for Fight Night Champion comes with a change to the punch controls. While staying on the analogs as the default, the new "Full Spectrum Punch Controls" takes the angle the stick is pushed as opposed to completing various gestures. There will also be a heavy punch modifier taking the place of the haymaker, and personalized punch animations for specific fighters. As expected the button control scheme will remain an option as well. Hopefully being able to st...

The Green Hornet, an update to the short-lived television series from the 60's, has faced a great deal of scrutiny throughout development. From questions regarding the script by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, to the decision for Rogen to star, and even some bad buzz and a delay attributed to 3D conversion, the project has been largely doubted. Somehow through all that is a finished film that delivers on pure entertainment value and could be the start of a successful franchise. (more…)...

The post NFL week 14 roster update for Madden 11, scheduled to release as usual on Friday, turns out to be much more extensive than last week's. Andre Johnson captures the coveted 99 overall rating and Adrian Peterson has lost it dropping down to 98. Troy Polamalu, Haloti Ngata, and Champ Bailey all move to a 98 and within striking distance of the 99 before season's end. The biggest gainers this week by far are Jaguars who get 10 players up and a team rating gain, the Patriots also have a s...

Scheduled for a timed release alongside MLB 11: The Show is a limited edition DualShock 3 wireless controller. It will be available the same day as the game, March 8th, and sell for $54.99. That is the same MSRP as any other version of the DualShock 3 however cheaper deals can be found for those at various retailers. It is uncertain how "limited" a number of controllers will be produced but it appears once the initial supply is exhausted that will be it. If the above image released by Sony ...

In a surprise announcement this morning Miramax laid out some preliminary plans to produce sequels to a large number of their properties. Potential films mentioned for sequel treatment include Clerks, Swingers, Bad Santa, Rounders, Shakespeare in Love, Bridget Jones' Diary, From Dusk Till Dawn, Copland, and others. There is also the thought that some could be adapted into television series down the line as well. I'd be pretty excited to get sequels to many of those movies, but only if th...
