With the reveal of the entire WWE All-Stars roster complete the glaring decision to hold back a third of the roster as downloadable content is already generating discussion. By announcing so many DLC wrestlers this early, and including some particularly popular ones in that group, it showed that THQ had planned all along to save them for the sole purpose of charging when they could have included them in the base roster. *Fight Night Champion is in hand so impressions, screens, and videos will be posted through the weekend and on Monday. Follow on Twitter for additional glimpses at the game and thoughts on it as I play through. Continuing with the series of Xbox 360 hard drive installation evaluations I've gone through and compared several areas of Fight Night Champion based on loading times from the disk vs the hard drive. Thankfully the loading times with Fight Night Champion are much more reasonable than...

The plan will be to refine the mocks with new versions every so often all the way up to start of the draft on Thursday April 28th. Eventually the mocks will become a full two rounds. The always funny Onion News (if you're not watching SportsDome on Comedy Central you're missing out) takes a look at Madden 12 and its new feature that will bring the realism of concussions to your living room. The new device will "simulate Sunday's biggest hits by firing pistons directly into players' skulls". This is great but c'mon Onion, wired controllers? This is what Kinect was created for! ...

Earlier today TBS announced that they have decided against renewing Glory Daze for a second season. The hour-long comedy series pulled in respectable ratings for the network which makes the cancellation news somewhat surprising. The show debuted with a 1.0 in the critical 18-49 demo and tailed off by the finale to a .6 which for TBS still is a decent number. The show also was supported with relatively strong DVR numbers but apparently it wasn't enough. I started watching Glory Daze as it be...

Warner Brothers is in the process of developing a remake to the hit 1992 film The Bodyguard according to Deadline. The original, which starred Kevin Costner as a Secret Service agent that falls in love with the singer (Whitney Houston) he is assigned to protect, went on to make over $400 million worldwide. The reboot of the film is said to introduce a similar scenario but also take into account how these days stars are more exposed than ever with the likes of TMZ on their trail and social n...

Many gamers had seemingly been on the fence regarding MLB 11: The Show heading into its demo release on Tuesday. I certainly fell amongst them, and in the end I could end up being disappointed yet again if the online play remains dismal. However after having spent a good deal of time with the demo I can safely say that what had been largely stale is no longer thanks in large part to the new analog controls. (more…)...
