Steve Kerr acted as a commentat...

'Event' films typically appeal to large audiences with their high-level concepts. Many eventually disappoint because those concepts work better in short spurts or the dialogue and stories take a back seat to the special effects. Battle: Los Angeles takes on the always popular alien invasion storyline, and though flawed in ways it delivers exactly what it advertises all the while remaining just grounded enough to avoid the usual pitfalls.  (more…)...

Online play has always been the achilles' heel of SCEA's MLB series. Whether due to lack of resources or foresight the performance has remained troubled to go along with head-scratching design decisions. MLB 11: The Show is really no different than any other year then. The online game experience is possibly improved, though still very inconsistent, and advancements in the way of options are largely off-set by other frustrating elements.  (more…)...

EA Sports has released a statement in regards to NBA Jam laying out that the game will be receiving no further post-release support. When NBA Jam released in November it did so with rosters that were already out of date at the time. With the trade deadline in the NBA having passed and several huge transactions having taken place over the course of the season consumers had been looking for a roster update to reflect the moves. That will not be coming and neither will a patch to improve gameplay...

Both baseball titles this year introduced television broadcast cameras tailored to the specifics for each team. MLB 2K11's broadcast cameras appear somewhat less pronounced than those in MLB 11: The Show and a few are very different (the Braves for one). The only issue I have encountered due to the angles is with those stadiums where the view is zoomed out considerably like in Tampa. The ball cursor is so big, and the strike zone available so small, it is difficult to place pitches with any ...
