Cinemax has given the green light to a new series based on the Transporter film franchise. A 12 episode agreement has been struck that has executive producer Luc Beeson on board. Production is expected to begin this summer with the series debuting sometime next year.

EA Sports Delays Return of NBA Sim to 2012
It has been my gut feeling all along that there would be no simulation NBA title from EA Sports released this year. The damage done by the near release of NBA Elite 11 was too much to recover from quickly, especially given the studio move from EA Canada to Tiburon which would surely hold up the process. When it was discovered that the team hadn't even been put together at the point the move was announced it became clear it wasn't going to get done in a single development cycle.

Over on AMC as the second biggest premiere for the highly regarded network it was The Killing which launched successfully and is being counted on to hold audiences over until Breaking Bad returns in the summer.
Camelot is yet another retelling of the Ki...

All three new films to open this weekend targeted a different audience and have seen successful returns especially considering their respective budgets. The animated-live action mix Hop came in first place as a family film, Source Code finished second with its sci-fi action, and Insidious brought the horror for third place.
A successful streak for family targeted films (with one exception being the bomb Mars Needs Moms) continues as Hop opened to $38.1 million and slightly exceeding expec...
