EA Sports Football GM Talks of Three Year Plan for Madden
Following the colossal failure of NBA Elite last fall EA Sports dismissed the General Manager of their EA Canada studio and repositioned the General Manager of their Tiburon studio (Philip Holt, who is believed to be founding the social gaming company luring Tiburon developers). The restructuring was done to put more focus on individual franchises by creating a GM position for each particular title or sport rather than a single one on the studio level. (more…)...
FIFA Street 4 May Be One of the New EA Sports Titles
It seems it didn't take long for one of the three new titles in the works at EA Sports to get leaked. NXT Gamer has received an image from an online survey that appears to not only confirm the existence of the game but also lay out actual features. File this in the rumor category for now but it appears to be legitimate. What is unknown is whether the survey was intended to research the prospects of making the game or rather set the expectations for it's eventual release if already advancing ...
Backbreaker: Vengeance Debut Trailer
NaturalMotion has been busy this week introducing Backbreaker: Vengeance. Originally teased with the single screenshot, the game has been confirmed to be coming this summer exclusively to Xbox Live Arcade. Not a true sequel to last year's Backbreaker instead it's based on the popular iPhone app of the same name that introduced obstacles into the "Tackle Alley" mini-game. Now continue on to check out the debut teaser trailer! (more…)...
Three New EA Sports Franchises in the Works
Three new potential franchises are in development at EA Sports, though the company has chosen not to reveal what they are just yet. The news was made at a press event being held in San Francisco where the company is showing off some of their upcoming titles including Madden 12, NCAA Football 12, and SSX.
One of the three is said to be a football game that is "fundamentally different" than those sim titles. This could very well be the remake of NFL Blitz that was rumored late last year.

Bradley Cooper May Star in The Crow Remake
Bradley Cooper has quickly become one of the hottest names in Hollywood and recently proved he could deliver a film as the star with Limitless. Now it looks as though he is in line to take over the role of Eric Draven in the remake of the 1994 film The Crow. Draven was played by Brandon Lee in the original and tragically died in an accident on set while filming. Talks are reportedly ongoing with production set to begin in the fall.

Madden NFL 12 Release Date Pushed Back Three Weeks
EA Sports has announced that Madden NFL 12 will release on Tuesday August 30th. That represents a sharp move away from the anticipated second Tuesday in August that has become tradition for the franchise. Last week it was noted that retailers had removed the original August 9th date from product listings signaling that something was going on behind the scenes.
The new release means the game will arrive in stores much closer to the start of the regular season, if there is to be one. If the...
Michael Vick and Peyton Hillis Hold Leads in Madden 12 Cover Tournament Semifinals
ESPN has dropped an update on the current status of voting in the 'Final Four' of the Madden NFL 12 cover tournament. Michael Vick holds a 59-41% lead over Adrian Peterson after one day. Throughout the tournament the early returns have represented the eventual winner every single time. That bodes well for Vick who has won easily every step of the way despite being by far the most divisive personality in the field.
Yesterday it was mentioned that Peyton Hillis had jumped way out in front o...
Backbreaker: Vengeance Coming This Summer to Xbox Live Arcade
The initial reveal of a new Backbreaker came yesterday with the first screenshot that hinted at a "Tackle Alley" concept rather than a full sequel. That idea seemed well suited to be distributed digitally as a downloadable-only game. Now NaturalMotion has confirmed that Backbreaker: Vengeance is headed to Xbox Live Arcade this summer.
There are different potential reasons why Vengeance would be released only on XBLA and not for the PS3 as the announcement made no mention of the game being...
