EA Sports has revealed details on the upcoming demo for NHL 12. The demo will arrive for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on Tuesday August 23rd and feature three different modes to try out. The date puts the demo out three weeks in advance of the game which makes sense as the company would not have put it out on the same day (30th) that Madden NFL 12 releases. The play now setting will offer a rematch of the NHL Finals with the third period of the Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks. There will also ...

Having played Madden NFL 12 extensively at E3 (check out my full impressions here) the demo didn't offer a whole lot new - in fact it feels as though a step backwards has been taken. Though no exacts have been given regarding the timing of the build used for the demo it likely comes from May or June and may predate the E3 build. Hopefully that is the case. Regardless though it's important to evaluate what is available and in doing so the feedback could be implemented in the release day patch...

Today the company announced that cover will feature Landon Donovan, Wayne Rooney, and Rafael Márquez. Donovan (LA Galaxy) represents the MLS team while Márquez (New York Red Bulls) will wear the Mexican national kit instead - Rooney (Manchester United) makes his first appearance on the North American cover....
  • Madden NFL 12 Player Ratings: Steelers, Browns, Texans, Colts

    Posted August 9th, 2011 at 7:45 pm 79 Comments »
The deliberately slow rollout of Madden NFL 12 ratings continues with four more teams being broken down so far this week. Only two more AFC teams remain (Jaguars, Titans) and then it'll be on to the NFC. Check out the rosters and ratings for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, and Indianapolis Colts. Of these teams only the Texans look to have changed significantly from these original rosters by picking up Johnathan Joseph and Danieal Manning but losing Vonta Leach....
