    The anticipation and excitement of a returning NBA stretched from fans to game publishers as EA Sports and 2K Sports hoped to capitalize on a quasi re-release period and make up for some of the losses that had been incurred due to the league lockout.     As a company THQ has been struggling to stay afloat for some time now. The stock is currently trading at all-time lows (66 cents a share) and bankruptcy has been a logical conclusion should another company not step up and buy them in the near future.     The 2012 Golden Globes are in the books - here's a look at all the winners. Homeland picked up Best TV drama as well as Best Actress for Claire Danes - while Kelsey Grammer pulled off an upset over Bryan Cranston and Steve Buscemi for Best Actor with his performance in Boss.     AMC today announced that the third season pickup of The Walking Dead, announced back in October shortly after the debut of the second season, is being extended in its order. Instead of the planned 13 episodes the third season will feature 16 full episodes and premiere next fall.     EA Sports has released a new trailer for SSX which acts as a good summary of the central features in the game which is just about six weeks out from release now. Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will enter as the highest rated in the game at 95 overall.
