EA Sports has faced a great deal of criticism for their handling of the UEFA EURO 2012 add-on for FIFA 12. The concealment of the actual number of licensed teams included in the product justifies the resulting unrest and building distrust. Now the company has released a patch for EURO - and while it isn't going to change perception towards the product at all it will hopefully improve the experience to an extent for those who purchased it and continue to play it by addressing some reported is...

Rumors have WWE 13 focusing on the "Attitude Era" - in fact Sean "X-Pac" Waltman essentially confirmed that a while back - and now a teaser trailer which even features some glimpses of gameplay footage has leaked in advance of the game's official announcement. The trailer focuses on current WWE Champion CM Punk but has flashes of "Attitude" stars in their roles at the time with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Mankind, and The Undertaker. Also worth noting is the game being dated for 10/31 (11/...

With a number of customized celebrations being added for Madden NFL 13 it was completely predictable that EA Sports would exploit them given the press they generate and the free publicity that could come from something as simple as a tweet from the player in question. The first two having been singled out are of course Tim Tebow's "Tebowing" and Victor Cruz's salsa dance. It's a wonder why EA feels these are somehow exceptional replications - in fact they're riddled with inaccuracies a...

EA Sports has released this week's gameplay clip for NCAA Football 13 and it features Michigan vs Maryland with demonstrations of some offensive plays and specific route running. There is the option read, bubble screen, and comeback route as well as examples of a receiver creating space with a double move and the QB throwing a receiver open to space. After the first two gameplay videos failed to generate positive response EA has shifted here towards showing off more precise examples of impro...
  • GI Joe: Retaliation Delayed to 2013

It's incredibly rare for a movie so close to getting released delayed but that has just happened with GI Joe: Retaliation. Scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 29 it has now been pushed back to March 29, 2013. The reasoning given by Paramount is they are going to add 3D - and having that makes sense particularly given the fondness for it overseas. However what is baffling is why they didn't make that decision a long while back. It is not a new phenomenon that big budget films in intern...

Few are bemoaning the apparent loss of the MLB 2K franchise but the prospects of where that leaves MLB gaming are only slightly more optimistic than they had been under the third party license that is now expiring. With the end of the console generation near, and companies more risk averse than ever, there are a number of variables to consider when thinking of what company - if any - will choose to make a licensed baseball game in the next year or two.  (more…)...
