  • EA Sports Not Currently Pursuing MLB

With the apparent end of the MLB 2K series the general assumption was EA Sports would take the opportunity of the license being freed up to strike a deal with the league and resurrect the MVP series. Even though a game for next year seemed unlikely - the 360 may be going without an MLB game for at least 2013 - it would have been ideal for EA to secure it and possibly then debut MVP on the next generation of systems. In an interview with ESPN however Andrew Wilson, the head of EA Sports, s...

EA Sports made a splash yesterday by announcing the "Infinity Engine" and Connected Careers for Madden NFL 13. The latter really isn't on display at E3 - nor would it really be feasible to play through in such an environment - so the former is getting most of the glory and rightfully so. The physics-driven engine isn't completely changing the way Madden plays but it is definitely enhancing it to a great degree.  (more…)...

While FIFA 13 had a strong presence at both the Microsoft and EA press conferences it lacked a big splash so it got somewhat overshadowed by Madden's reveals and the news of UFC going to EA Sports. Still there were some announcements made to FIFA that will be relevant to fans. EA Sports Football Club debuted last year and is being expanded upon. An app for Football Club - scheduled for the iPhone and iPod touch - will keep fans connected to the FIFA world. A new rewards program is being i...
