Very surprising news today of great significance as Disney has purchased LucasFilm for $4 billion in cash and stock. The acquisition is similar to the one made in 2009 for Marvel which of course has paid off big time with the stable of films that led to the humongous release of The Avengers and much more to come in that universe. Now Disney owns the rights to Star Wars and they wasted no time in announcing Star Wars: Episode VII will release in 2015. A new Star Wars film is planned for...

Earlier today 2K Sports released more updates to courts in NBA 2K13 just in time for the start of the regular season. The Cavs new court is the only addition of the bunch while others get more in the way of minor adjustments. The Lakers have the center court line fixed to white while the Nets get the glossy look to the floor that had been missing and darker blue Barclay's Center text. The Grizzlies and Clippers courts have also received subtle changes....

Amazon is holding a day chock full of video game deals and are featuring FIFA 13 as the featured "Deal of the Day". FIFA 13 for the Xbox 360 or PS3 is only $40 through midnight. This is definitely a deal worth considering for those interested in FIFA 13 who haven't picked it up as it's unquestionably one of the best sports games of the year. At $40 it represents the lowest the game has been available for and it probably won't be found for much cheaper (if at all) by waiting around longer ...

There will always be some level of debate when it comes to player ratings in any sports video game. Player ratings will be heavily influenced by the past - that is the baseline to adjust from as new data is added - but the purpose should be to present each individual as the...

As previously reported the ability to edit the body makeup of current players within Madden NFL 13's Connected Careers mode has been removed. This has taken effect through a server-side update to "online" careers. Presumably the feature will be removed from "offline" careers as well but doing so there requires being part of a patch. Thankfully it is only the 'Appearance' section of editing that has been altered removing everything except being able to view height and weight. The full rang...
