Addition of Josh Hamilton Makes Angels Formidable in MLB 13: The Show
Yesterday brought the surprise news of Josh Hamilton signing for 5 years and $125 million with the Los Angeles Angels. The team hadn't really been considered on the radar for Hamilton during the process and with the way things were shaking out as far as other deals it appeared likely he would return to the Texas Rangers. For the second year in a row the Angels claimed the top prize on the market and this time hurt a division foe as well. (more…)...
Cover of NCAA Football 14 Up For Vote
Through the fan page on Facebook a new cover campaign is underway that will see a school winning the coveted spot for NCAA Football 14 as opposed to an outgoing player. Polls have been posted to collect votes for the schools on an individual basis with the field being narrowed to 32 after the completion of this round.
EA Sports has used Facebook to determine the cover athlete for NCAA Football 13 (a tournament of former Heisman winners) and NCAA Football 12 (choosing between four candi...

The roster update following week 14 of the season for Madden NFL 13 is scheduled to go live by Saturday morning. Also benefiting from the update are Tom Brady going back up to 99 ov...
Minor Week Six NBA 2K13 Roster Update
A new roster update for NBA 2K13 went live this morning but features very little in the way of changes. No sweeping roster adjustments to speak of, just a single player affected by one point, with some corrections to the injury status for a handful of players.
Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis both return from being injured and with the same 85 and 79 ratings respectively that they held prior. Victor Claver is also back to being active while A.J. Price (-10 to 45) and Kawhi Leonard (-17 to 6...
#10 of 2012: NFL Blitz
As the field of sports games has contracted over the years coming up with legitimate entries for a top 10 list has become increasingly difficult. #10 no longer represents a very good game but one in which might present some value or level of enjoyment but with greatly limited appeal. That is the case with NFL Blitz which is the only true arcade style major sport representation to make the list for 2012. (more…)...
Bryce Harper a Candidate for Cover of MLB 13: The Show
Bryce Harper is the first player to announce his candidacy for the cover of MLB 13: The Show having done so on Twitter and through an article on Kotaku.
This is the first year in which The Show has involved fans in the selection of a cover athlete. Other players will be revealing their involvement in the process throughout the month that will almost certainly make Harper a long shot to actually win. Regardless it's remarkable that a rookie season could catapult a player into such a discus...
Revisiting the Top Stories of 2012: The Disastrous Road Towards NBA Live 13
With two years off to construct NBA Live 13 following the swift demise of the NBA Elite 11 reboot there was a cautious optimism about the product back in February. There was no way that Live could challenge NBA 2K13 but the opportunity was there to reestablish itself and take advantage of some of the openings that the competition had left it. It wouldn't take long however for everything about the title to start crumbling down and expose yet another fraud. (more…)...
NBA 2K13 Week Six Upcoming Roster Update Discussion
The most recent roster updates for NBA 2K13, in tandem, adjusted a more significant number of players who have been exceeding expectations or failing to reach them than other updates prior. 12 players however are still missing. At this point in the season there should be some more sweeping changes to the rosters to reflect the teams (like the Lakers) who have been disappointments and those (like the Warriors) who have surprised.
Stephen Curry, Omer Asik, Larry Sanders, Andre Drummond, Rya...
