Voting on the first round of the NCAA Football 14 cover campaign continues through Monday but with the poll numbers public the schools moving on can pretty much be solidified at this point. Engagement levels have not been good for EA Sports as only 18 schools have been able to collect over 1K votes in the two weeks now since kicking things off. The surprise leader is Kentucky who, along with Penn State and Texas A&M, are really dominating the returns thus far. There are a number of bi...

It's rare for a racing game to emerge from an end-of-year list such as this one. Forza Horizon however delivered such a completely pleasant and enjoyable experience that it couldn't be overlooked. Rich in features and fun factor, and with some incredible scenery and ambiance, it is well deserving of recognition.  (more…)...

Christmas day is perceived by many to be the real start to the NBA season. The Lakers have started to get things together with the return of Steve Nash. The Clippers are the hottest team in the NBA with 14 straight wins. The Heat continue their run of close wins over the Thunder going back to the Finals. The Nets are in a tailspin (Avery Johnson fired) and the Rockets have shown their explosiveness despite inconsistency as the new players gel as a team. The two big adjustments that need t...

Those following news on NBA 2K13 leading up to release heard an awful lot about Jay-Z being the "executive producer" for the product and that was precisely how 2K Sports planned it. It's unclear right now whether a roster update for Madden NFL 13 will release this week. Dealing with past holidays there have been updates pushed up in advance or in some cases the weeks have gone without one. So far for this year there has yet to be a week without an update. The playoff teams are set in the AFC with now only the 1-4 seeding to be determined. In the NFC the East winner will be determined in the Cowboys @ Redskins game on Sunday night while the 6th seed looks to go to the...

There has been no more consistent sports series this generation than SCEA's MLB: The Show. It has shined in gameplay, depth, and authenticity while struggling mightily along the way in areas such as online play and commentary. MLB 12: The Show was no different than the titles that preceded it. A lack of general advancement and some post-release issues were notable but those satisfied with the product in the past likely remained that way.  (more…)...
