    The latest roster update for NBA 2K13 is now available on the 360 and PS3. The update finally adds Patrick Beverley to the Rockets giving them a backup point guard and moves Derek Fisher to the Thunder. Tony Parker, long overdue for a bump, ironically gets it after being injured and now is potentially out for a month - that has not been reflected yet however.     As the NFL and EA approach the final year of the current exclusive contract to produce league licensed video games all eyes will be on whether an extension is reached between the two parties. Considering that extensions to the deal have been reached in February 2008 (for three years) and February 2011 (for one year) news on that could be coming soon.     Earlier this week the first opportunity to see MLB 13: The Show in action slipped out. Reaction was mostly positive except as it relates to the commentary as the faults stood out even more against the backdrop of the Playoffs where the magnitude of each event is dramatically increased. Now additional videos are available to watch and evaluate with segments of gameplay featuring the White Sox at Cubs, Royals at Phillies, Angels at Tigers, and Angels at Nationals.     The third episode of the Press Row Hangout features the duo of myself and Rich Grisham of GamesRadar. Ideally the shows will offer three or more contributors going forward but it was just unable to come together this week.     SCEA has released another in the line of developer video blogs on features for MLB 13: The Show this time focusing on changes made to Road to the Show mode. This year the experience has been altered to try and develop a greater sense of being on the field in terms of presentation, audio, and cameras.   • OverDog Hopes to Build Community Around Online Competition With Athletes

    Today marked the launch of a Kickstarter for OverDog, a new company that will soon be rolling out a service connecting gamers with professional athletes for online competition. Co-founded by former Chicago Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer OverDog has an advisory board that includes Chris Kluwe and David Price and the backing of the Players Associations for all the major leagues and other promotions such as UFC.     The first gameplay video for MLB 13: The Show has arrived and again it comes courtesy of CJohnson403 on Twitter. It features a NLDS game with the Braves at Nationals in Postseason mode. Though the footage is off-screen it is pretty good quality but keep in mind the audio enhancements, key to the Postseason mode, may be more difficult to discern.
