EA Sports has officially canceled their NCAA Football series which was going to be renamed College Football next year. The news comes on the heels of individual institutions expressing a desire to get out of the video game business by pulling their licenses. The NCAA was first to withdraw licensing, multiple conferences followed, but losing the schools was when EA began to see the writing on the wall that the series would not be sustainable. EA is currently seeking to settle the player li...

Those items were identified early on allowing them to be included in a patch made available just a day after the game came out. Work continues on other areas including gameplay for the next patch. EA addressed that in a statement today.  (more…)...

For the third consecutive week EA Sports has released a $1 DLC uniform pack for NCAA Football 14. On the surface that kind of post-release support sounds great until the actual content being provided is examined to find the majority of items are just gloves while teams with full uniforms and helmets still missing from the game continue to get bypassed. The fourth uniform pack involves Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, UCLA, and USC. With the exception of all but one school t...

    Posted September 24th, 2013 at 9:30 am 49 Comments »
In recent days it had become apparent that 2K Sports had decided to pass on the usual pre-release demo with NBA 2K14. There was no promotion of the demo date - today being the last possible date for one - and on social media representatives ignored all requests from fans for demo info while PR ignored media requests for comment. Without anything official coming out of the company it took until today to report with any certainty that it would be the case. While this doesn't necessarily ind...

  • MyTeam Details for NBA 2K14

Last year 2K Sports introduced MyTeam, a take-off of the popular Ultimate Team modes found in EA Sports titles, providing the company a digital revenue stream that had been lacking. Though it had its share of fans it didn't prove as popular and birthed what was arguably the worst aspect of NBA 2K13 that being the "VC" system. It was just the first year though and it takes time to grow modes such as MyTeam. For NBA 2K14 improvements include tournaments, leaderboards, the ability to play fr...
