  • End of Year Community Awards: Best Post-Release Support of 2014

    The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with Best Post-Release Support. This is a new category for the Community Awards. In the past post-release support has been factored into rankings but has never been singled out for recognition. There were some strong efforts from developers to not just fix issues but improve and provide new content this year. The three earning nominations are The Golf Club, EA Sports UFC, and Madden NFL 15.   • Madden NFL 15 Week 17 Upcoming Roster Update Discussion

    There was no Madden NFL 15 roster update last week due to Christmas but one is expected within the next few days that will factor in both week 16 and 17 performances. Heading into the playoffs, where those teams will continue to be updated, this could represent even more than just two weeks and attempt to adjust players who have drastically over or underperformed over the course of the season and maybe teams as a whole as well.   • End of Year Community Awards: Most Disappointing Game of 2014

    The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with Most Disappointing Sports Game. It's the only recognition from the awards that no game would want but several candidates can't avoid. Previous "winners" - or losers I suppose - have been NBA 2K14, NCAA Football 13, NCAA Football 12, and Madden NFL 11. This year three titles really stand out from the crowd unfortunately.   • Release of EA Sports PGA Tour May Have Been Pushed to Summer

    EA Sports hasn't said a word about the upcoming PGA Tour game since it was unveiled at E3 back in June. There's probably a reason for that, and a potential release date shift could play a part in it.  (more…)...

    The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with Best Online Play opening up today. This is a category that has understandably been dominated by EA Sports games and once again the company will have a winner out of it. Madden is looking for its fourth straight victory with FIFA and UFC representing the challengers.  (more…)...
