Trailer and more details on the Draft Champions mode for NHL 17
EA Sports introduced competitive draft-style modes last year in Madden and FIFA. Draft Champions now will be making its debut in the NHL series and today the publisher went into further details on what to expect along with a trailer showcasing the mode. The NHL version of Draft Champions involves 12 rounds with 4 players to choose from in each, followed by a series of games played against either the CPU or online opponents. (more…)...

Infinite Air gets release date and new trailer
There are two mountain sports games coming out this year with Steep in December and Infinite Air which now has a release date of October 25. The latter comes from HB Studios which most recently developed The Golf Club and it'll be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC for $50. Cover athlete Mark McMorris is joined by his brother Craig, Silje Norendal, Torstein Horgmo, Danny Davis, and Ulrik Badertscher as playable snowboarders in the game. (more…)...

While the wait for the first Madden NFL 17 patch continues (it should be out very soon) one area where EA Sports received feedback has already been acted upon with a tuning update today. 2K Sports today announced "The Prelude" which will be a free downloadable experience for NBA 2K17 that involves creating your MyPlayer character and playing through the college portion of MyCareer Mode. The Prelude will go out on Friday, September 9 - that's one full week before the game releases on the 16th.
