  • Details on the fourth patch for NBA 2K17

    The fourth post-release patch for NBA 2K17 is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as on PC. The earlier updates made to the game have addressed the ability to release roster updates, added PS4 Pro support, fixed the shot meter and various bugs, and tweaked gameplay and presentation. Despite that major issues have remained most notably related to CPU defensive AI and the game's online Pro-Am mode. The new patch doesn't note any changes to the big defensive AI concerns...
  • PC management sims offer something new for sports gaming fans late in the year

    While nearly all the console sports games for the year released prior to October three prominent team management games for PC have just hit the market. The latest edition in the long-running Football Manager franchise is joined by two games from the Draft Day Sports series (college football and pro basketball) created by Wolverine Studios.   • NBA 2KVR Experience releases November 22

    The discovery of an NBA 2K game built for virtual reality was made on Saturday and this morning 2K Sports officially announced the 2KVR Experience. Made up of a series of mini-games 2KVR will release on Tuesday, November 22 for the PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Samsung Gear VR with Oculus Rift getting it at a later date. It will be sold for $15.     Despite the launch of multiple virtual reality headsets - led by PlayStation VR, Vive, and Rift - sports games haven't played much of a role with them as of yet.     Announced prior to release of NBA 2K17, but not referred to since then by 2K Sports, the company today revealed details on the first 'Park After Dark' event. Transforming MyPark into something more akin to a club environment, the mode will bring in special guest DJs and open up new activities during specified limited-time windows during the months ahead.     The latest big promo to kickoff in MUT celebrates the games scheduled for Thanksgiving and one of the greats that played on the holiday in the past. 12 Solo Challenges have been added that reward nearly 17,000 Coins, 6 Thanksgiving Packs, and an 87 Overall Herman Moore.
