    Recent high concept efforts like Rocket League and Disc Jam have succeeded in melding together very different things - racing and soccer, tennis and air hockey - to create competitive games fun for wide audiences.   • Mutant Football League stretch goals added

    Once Mutant Football League was able to achieve its Kickstarter goal, something that took the spiritual successor to 1993's Mutant League Football only three days to do, developers sought feedback on potential stretch goals. By reaching additional funding targets they can deliver more features to the game targeting October for PC release and early 2018 for PS4/Xbox One.     Back in 2013 a crowdfunding campaign for Mutant Football League achieved only 19% of its ambitious $750,000 goal. Development on the game never ceased however and now its back for another shot at getting support through Kickstarter. Mutant Football League is seeking $60,000 and is already almost a third of the way there in its first day.     Fans of the Veronica Mars television series which ran from 2004 t0 2007 have always longed for a feature film to continue following the characters.     Today marked the launch of a Kickstarter for OverDog, a new company that will soon be rolling out a service connecting gamers with professional athletes for online competition. Co-founded by former Chicago Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer OverDog has an advisory board that includes Chris Kluwe and David Price and the backing of the Players Associations for all the major leagues and other promotions such as UFC.
