New on DVD: Week of November 10
There are a handful of decent Blu-ray movies releasing this week. I thought The Ugly Truth was a pretty good movie. I'm not a big fan of Katherine Heigl but Gerard Butler did a great job in the movie. It was quite a change from seeing him play King Leonidas in 300. I thought Butler's sense of humor in the film is what I enjoyed most. Another movie I'm sure people will look forward to is Disney-Pixar's Up. Last week's DVD sales continue to prove that people love animated movies, and Up should...
New on DVD: Week of November 3
This week isn't a bad week for releases compared to the last few weeks. The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 was a pretty decent movie. The storyline was a bit far fetched at times, but overall it was an enjoyable movie. Also hitting stores is Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut. In September, I posted the details of what would be included in the special edition. It is definitely something to consider for the die-hard Watchmen fanatic. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra will also release this week. I'm not expecting ...
New on DVD: Week of October 27
It seems to be another quiet week for DVD and Blu-ray releases. The only movie I'd probably pick up is the Blu-ray version of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. This might be my favorite Christmas movie, and is definitely my favorite of all the 'Vacation' movies. Amazon.com has posted a video of all the extras you get with the collector's edition pack, and I must say it is definitely worth the price. Some of the stuff included are holiday collectibles, so you'll be able to use them every C...
New on DVD: Week of October 20
The big movie hitting stores this week is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The Michael Bay blockbuster is loaded with extras on Blu-Ray, so you'll definitely get your money's worth.
One release that caught my eye was Planes, Trains and Automobiles (Those Aren't Pillows Edition). According to Amazon.com the special edition will include bonus extras: Getting There is Half the Fun: The Story of Planes Trains and Automobiles, Other: John Hughes for Adults, Other: A Tribute to John Candy,...
New on DVD: Week of October 13
After a couple of weeks of bad releases, this week seems to be a little better. There aren't any blockbusters hitting stores, but one film I enjoyed was Drag Me To Hell. Directed by Sam Raimi, the surprising horror movie is the perfect film for October with Halloween right around the corner. This one may actually be worth a purchase and definitely worth a rental.

New on DVD: Week of October 6
Despite it being October, there are many Christmas movies being released this week. Jack Black fans may also think Christmas has come early with Year One hitting stores. I don't think I know anyone who said they enjoyed watching it though.

New on DVD: Week of September 29
It looks like another slow week for movie releases. Nothing on the list seems to be worth a DVD or Blu-ray purchase. I did get a chance to see Away We go. It was a decent romantic comedy that did have it's moments, but definitely not something I'd see again.
A couple of collections being released on DVD this week are the Batman and Blade Collections. If the Blade Collection was being released on Blu-ray I'd consider picking it up. I really enjoyed the first two Blade films and I believe the...
New on DVD: Week of September 22
There doesn't seem to be very many big titles coming out this week unless you're a Star Trek fan. "Trekkies" will be happy to know there are a handful of movies making their way to Blu-ray today. The only movie that really caught my eye was Observe and Report.
I was a little disappointed in it, and didn't think it was one of Seth Rogen's best movies. It had it's moments of course, but overall I felt letdown. Throughout the movie I couldn't help but think about Paul Blart: Mall Cop since both...
