The world ends this week when 2012 hits store shelves. Even though the film received mixed reviews from critics, 2012 still grossed over $769 million worldwide. Also releasing is the Children's film Where the Wild Things Are. The Spike Jonze directed film did well in reviews, scoring a 73% "Fresh Rating" on Rottentomatoes.com Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: (more…)...

It's sort of a slow week for releases. Matt Damon's The Informant! is probably the biggest name hitting stores. I thought the movie was pretty funny. It took me a bit to understand what was going on, but once I did I found the movie to be quite entertaining. Also releasing is The Box, starring Cameron Diaz. I didn't really care for it and thought it became very weird about half way through the movie. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: (more…)...

It's a pretty solid week for movie releases. It seems as if every week Gerard Butler is in a new movie. This we can see him along with Jamie Foxx in Law Abiding Citizen. I really thought it was a decent movie even though most critics didn't like it. On the other hand a movie that critics did enjoy was Black Dynamite. The comedy did very well, scoring an 83% fresh rating on Rottentomatoes.com. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: (more…)...

It's a bit of a slow week for movie releases. One of the movies that should sell well is Vince Vaughn's Couples Retreat. I thought it was a solid movie and had it's moments. If you enjoy other Vince Vaughn romantic comedies, you should enjoy this one as well. Also hitting stores is the dark comedy from the Coen brothers, A Serious Man. The film did well in reviews and scored an 87% on Rottentomatoes.com Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: (more…...

There are quite a bit of movies releasing this week. The big name hitting stores is Zombieland. The comedy was well received by critics, scoring an 89% on Rottentomatoes.com. Sports fans can see LeBron James in More Than a Game. Unfortunately, he won't be seen in hi-def as the movie is only releasing on standard DVD. It looks like we have another solid week of movie releases. The much anticipated Michael Jackson's This Is It will hit stores this week, and will most likely sell well. Although ticket sales didn't go as predicated, DVD sales should be pretty high. Other notable releases include Bruce Willis' Surrogates and Ellen Page's Whip It. I enjoyed Whip It, and thought Drew Barrymore did a solid job in her directorial debut. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: ...

After a lackluster week of releases, we finally have our first decent week of the 2010. Jason Bourne fans will be happy to know that the 'Bourne films' will be releasing on Blu-ray this week. Other action films releasing include Gerard Butler's Gamer, and Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball. The action flick is the sequel to 2007's Smokin' Aces. If you thought you missed the film in theaters, you didn't. It was a straight to DVD release. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard D...

2010 continues to bring us less than stellar movie releases. This week is worse than the previous week. If you're a fan of musicals, Fame hits stores this week. The film received a 90% 'fresh rating' on Rottentomatoes.com I did manage to see Tyler Perry's I can do Bad All By Myself. It' your typical Tyler Perry movie and doesn't stray away from his usual formula, so if you're a fan of his movies you'll enjoy this one.
