    The third player Program rolled out today in MLB The Show 17 Diamond Dynasty. Doug Drabek joins Chipper Jones and Chris Archer with their own dedicated Program requiring set goals of wins, statistical achievements, and player collections to be to be reached. Program card packs, XP and tickets are earned by completing each step along the way. As with the other Programs playing online games are required to take it to 100% completion, which eliminates those who prefer only to play the CPU...

    The wait will continue for MLB The Show 17's first roster update. Developer Sony San Diego has announced a delay to the initially planned rollout of today and now state they're expecting to release it Friday, April 21. That first roster update will primarily focus on adding rookies that have made their MLB debut this season and will have few if any attribute changes.     Events are a new feature in MLB The Show 17's Diamond Dynasty, providing an additional purpose for lower-rated cards which will be useful depending on the various themes that will be applied to them.     While last week for MLB The Show 17 was all about gameplay, this week the focus has shifted to the back-to-back Community Award winner for Best Team-Building Mode. Following the initial Diamond Dynasty reveal video yesterday covering the new ways to play and other additions, another video has gone out functioning as an introduction to the mode for those unfamiliar while also going through some new features that will debut with the upcoming game.     A new video today courtesy of Gamestop provides a first opportunity to get a good understanding of the additions and improvements coming to Diamond Dynasty mode with MLB The Show 17. Hinted at earlier with the full promotional schedule, the team-building mode will feature two new ways to play with Ranked Seasons and limited-time Events.     The season may be over but support for Diamond Dynasty mode in MLB The Show 16 continues. Today a new Chicago Cubs Champions Pack and missions tied to a trio of new flashback cards were added. Obtaining the three new flashbacks and completing statistical tasks will unlock Prime Matt Garza. Andrew Cashner (Rookie Flashback) needs to accrue 10 strikeouts, Marlon Byrd (Prime Flashback) must get 5 hits, and Darwin Barney (Prime Flashback) requires 10 fielding assists.
