Showtime has announced that Californication has been picked up for a fifth season. The series has been a consistent winner for the network and the current showrunner believes there is no end in sight and they'll keep it going as long as they can. Sunday was a big night for premieres as NBC debuted The Cape, Fox rolled out a new animated series Bob's Burgers, and Showtime kicked off Shameless and Episodes along with the fourth season of Californication. The superhero themed series The Cape drew decent ratings with 8.6 million viewers and a 2.6 18-49 rating. Those numbers aren't great but for struggling NBC it is a good showing.
