With just a couple weeks now until Madden NFL 18 goes out through EA Access the entirety of the ratings for the league have been revealed. Below are looks at the top rated players by position which includes some analysis of rankings and highest attributes.
Rookies
Quarterbacks
Running Backs
Wide Receivers and Tight Ends
Defensive Ends and Tackles
Cornerbacks and Safeties
Inside and Outside Linebackers
Now also a spreadsheet can be viewed and sorted featuring every player and individual rating in Madden NFL 18. Rosters are broken down by team in the tabs at the bottom.
The Seahawks and Cowboys lead the way with 7 players rated 90+ while the Patriots are next in line with 4. Surprisingly it’s the Eagles that have the most players (20) rated 80+ followed by the Patriots (19), then the Ravens and – another surprise – the Chargers (18).
The Jets meanwhile appear to be one of the worst Madden teams maybe of all-time with the highest rated player 85 and only 6 players starting out over 80. The 49ers (9 at 80+) and Colts and Rams (10) are the weakest behind them.
A feature from the late NCAA Football series is making its way to Madden this year with some expansion to its capabilities. Coaching Adjustments offer the ability to influence the player tendencies and match-up cornerbacks to specific wide receivers. Read more

With a stat line this season of .365, 15 HR, 59 RBI, and 21 SB the biggest star on the team with the best record in the AL has been moved up to 99 Overall in MLB The Show 17. Jose Altuve joins Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw as the only active players in the game rated 99.
Altuve was raised 2 Overall points due to +16 in Plate Discipline, +10 in Power vs Righties, +8 in Power vs Lefties, +5 in Contact vs Righties and +3 in Contact vs Lefties. He did lose 6 points in Speed and 4 points in Fielding however.
Other notable movers in this week’s roster update include Corey Kluber (+2 to 94), Zach Britton (-2 to 90), James Paxton (+3 to 88), Aaron Judge (+1 to 88), Raisel Iglesias (+2 to 87), Willson Contreras (+3 to 86), Trevor Rosenthal (+2 to 86), Rich Hill (+3 to 85), Jonathan Schoop (+3 to 85), Whit Merrifield (+5 to 83), Scooter Gennett (+3 to 83), Cole Hamels (-2 to 83), Felix Hernandez (-2 to 83), Wil Myers (-2 to 83), Tyson Ross (-5 to 79), and Ryan Tepera (+15 to 76).
One notable absence from the extensive list of community requests addressed for Madden NFL 18 was anything to do with blocking, an area of the series that has been criticized heavily over the years. EA Sports ended up holding that back for its own developer blog, citing new features like ID The Mike and an emphasis on the Awareness rating of an entire offensive line in recognizing and picking up blitzes. Read more
There’s no doubt that 2K Sports has admirably invested in its franchise modes in recent years but the experiences between MyGM and MyLeague were not dramatically different besides the customization freedom given by the latter. With NBA 2K18 the MyGM mode is becoming more narrative-driven, making it more along the lines of the MyCareer player story mode but playing the role of general manager instead. Read more
While they may not receive the publicity of a story mode or new gameplay mechanic, a number of key improvements are being delivered for Madden NFL 18 based on community feedback. Among them are the addition of off-ball injuries, the elimination of the “Swerve” exploit, improved fumble recoveries, the fixing of drops related to RAC catches, greater importance to size and weight for hit outcomes, more inaccuracy from lower-rated QBs, and faster players no longer getting caught by slower ones on breakaways. Read more
