A wide open field in 2017 has resulted in the most unpredictable and fascinating Sports Game of the Year voting yet! While many of the games were fantastic in general they all had some serious flaws that detracted from their full potential, and because of that expect there to be no consensus “best” game that will sweep its way to a victory.
Will MLB The Show 17 repeat off last year’s MLB 16 win? Will NBA 2K18 bounce back or fall even further after the award-winning 2K16Â preceded 2K17 slipping to third? Will Madden NFL 18 continue the upward trajectory that saw Madden 17 finish the highest ever for the series as runner-up last year? Or will another game come from farther back in the pack in a surprise result?

After five years without a new tennis game there are now two that will be releasing in the first half of 2018. The one first announced was Tennis World Tour which comes from a new studio called Breakpoint that employs some developers formerly of the Top Spin series.
Out of the PlayStation Experience event is the first opportunity to see the game in action, as well as having the release window trimmed down from spring to May specifically. Additionally the update affects gameplay and Franchise Mode where the play call screen lag has been fixed and the ability to turn on injuries with Competitive play style added.  Read more

When publishers provide the ability for consumers to customize elements in their video games and share it with others they become vulnerable to legal action should they not closely monitor it for any inappropriate content or trademark violations and respond to takedown requests from rights holders.
