The first post-trade deadline roster update for NBA 2K13 has arrived. Though no big names were moved there were a number of transactions that had to be completed. Very few player ratings changes have been made with Kyrie Irving being the most notable going up a point to 89.
Patrick Beverley remains among the missing players, his pleadings to be added on Twitter going ignored, and Alvin Gentry is still the Suns coach now over a month after being fired and replaced by Lindsey Hunter. Kenyon Martin has yet to be placed on the Knicks. The Lakers also have not had the Jerry Buss memorial patch added to their jerseys.
As is usually the case the swirl of rumors leading up to a trade deadline turned out to be far more entertaining to follow than the moves that would end up being made. The NBA trade deadline passed earlier today and, remembering that earlier in the season James Harden and Rudy Gay were both moved, J.J. Redick was the biggest name sent packing.
Despite the lack of magnitude to the trades there were several made and a roster update for NBA 2K13 is expected to roll out on Friday. Names on the move include Eric Maynor to the Blazers, Jordan Crawford to the Celtics, Thomas Robinson to the Rockets with Patrick Patterson heading to the Kings, Marcus Morris joining his brother in Phoenix, and Ronnie Brewer who’ll now be with the Thunder freeing up a spot for the Knicks to sign Kenyon Martin.

The absence of FIFA, as well as other big sellers sure to hit the launch window like Madden and NBA 2K, can be easily explained however. Read more
Though 2K Sports continues to actively hide MLB 2K13 for all those interested in learning anything about the game, the one sure thing that was to arrive prior to release was an official trailer. There is nothing new to be gleaned from it unfortunately as it contains just the typical flashy replay footage, with the exception of spotting that they at least got the Astros their new uniforms, but it’s something anyway. Read more
The highly anticipated reveal of the PlayStation 4 was made today and the built-in features will tick many of the boxes that sports gamers have hoped developers would eventually provide over the years in their titles. Standouts from the presentation have included what could substitute for in-game saves, spectator mode, gameplay video uploading, and screenshot capturing…which will be accessible to all and presumably within every game. Read more
