Standalone Home Run Derby Mode from MLB 13: The Show Available on PlayStation Store
With the All-Star festivities coming up later this month SCEA today released a separate digital download offering which features the Home Run Derby mode from MLB 13: The Show. For $6 the Home Run Derby is exactly that of the one included in MLB 13 but available to those who don’t want the full game but would be interested in the mode on its own.
A full roster of the players available has not been provided but over 30 are being included to choose from in the download. The mode can be purchased though the website or directly from the PlayStation Store.

Goals Scored in FIFA 13 Will Determine Final MLS All-Star Selection
EA Sports and MLS today launched a promotion to determine the final spot for the MLS All-Star game which takes place on July 31. A forward will be selected based on the number of goals scored in FIFA 13 over the next week.
Goals scored with the players in Match Day kick-off, Career, and Seasons modes through July 10 will qualify. The player who has the most goals scored will have his place secured on the MLS All-Star team which this year will take on AS Roma from Italian Serie A. Read more

Bo Jackson Makes Return to Video Games in NCAA Football 14
One of the greatest all-around athletes in history – and the one most remembered for his impact on football video games – is making a return with NCAA Football 14. NBA 2K14 to Include Euroleague Teams
2K Sports today announced that 14 teams from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague will be included in NBA 2K14. This is an exclusive multi-year partnership that will bring the Euroleague to the NBA 2K series for the first time. The 14 teams selected out of the 31 team league stretching across Europe will be playable against each other and NBA teams but there won’t be a separate mode dedicated to them and they won’t be involved in Association or My Career.

Ultimate Team in Madden NFL 25 Adds Head-to-Head Seasons and Returns Chemistry
EA Sports today released details on the improvements coming to Ultimate Team mode in Madden NFL 25. The mode will reintroduce “Chemistry” as a factor in building teams while a new Head-to-Head Seasons mode will offer up competition in 10 game “seasons” capped by playoffs to move up to the next level. Setting the team’s “Best Lineup” will now be easier to do and incorporates all players rather than just the active ones as was previously the case. Read more

NCAA Football 14 Deal at Toys”R”Us
In recent years a number of retailers have offered up their own incentives for purchasing NCAA Football to go along with the pre-order bonuses provided to them by EA Sports. For example last year Amazon simply dropped the price of the game to $45 for pre-orders and the year prior they offered up a $20 promotional credit. Those were incredible deals considering the game wouldn’t drop to those prices for weeks if not months. Even used copies were not all that enticing considering the “Online Pass” program which is now mercifully defunct. Read more

Chicharito Joins Messi on FIFA 14 Cover in North America
EA Sports has announced that Mexican national team star Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez will appear alongside worldwide cover athlete Lionel Messi on the cover of FIFA 14.
