The final spot on the MLS All-Star team will be filled by Marco Di Vaio of the Montreal Impact. Goals scored in FIFA 13 for the week of July 3-10 determined the winner and Di Vaio outpaced everyone with 73,838 of them.
The runner-up was Robbie Keane of the Los Angeles Galaxy with over 69K of his own. In all 488K goals were scored between the 26 qualifying players displaying just how dominant those two were compared to the rest of the pack. There was never any doubt that NHL 94 would play a role in NHL 14 and today EA Sports revealed details on its place in the game. Jay-Z isn’t on board to “executive produce” NBA 2K14 but the soundtrack is being handled in another unorthodox manner. This time cover athlete LeBron James is choosing all the songs and he wants to hear from fans on what some of them should be. Read more
The first sets of named rosters for NCAA Football 14 are now available to grab through the Roster Share feature. These are fully named with no other edits made so they should work for online play. There will be some inaccuracies but this roster is likely sufficient for most who want to get a jump on Dynasty now rather than waiting for more enhanced sets. Coming off two very weak efforts EA Sports needed to reestablish the NCAA Football franchise as something other than an also-ran to Madden. What used to be an innovative series has been anything but in recent years – and when trying for new features they’ve failed miserably with the implementation and their assessment of what consumers truly desired out of the product.
While NCAA Football 14 doesn’t break any new ground actual effort is immediately recognized in areas that have desperately needed it. The challenge from the CPU – which can now execute all manner of plays – along with the physics engine and incredibly responsive player control makes the game fun again. Read more
