Almost two years have passed since the NFL extended the exclusive video game license with EA Sports. At the time the events made it obvious that the satisfied partner in the relationship was the NFL and not EA. It was evident that EA would later seek to secure much more favorable terms come negotiation time.
An extension to the exclusive license has still not been announced. In the past that news has come in February (2008 and 2011) each time two years in advance of expiration. The final category in the Community Choice Awards is the big one that will crown the Best Sports Game of 2013. Previous winners include NBA 2K13, FIFA 12, NBA 2K11, and Madden NFL 10.

Results for all the categories will be revealed late this week. Continue on for summaries of each game, to vote in the poll, and leave any thoughts in the comments! Read more
