Yesterday general details on the third patch for EA Sports UFC were revealed and teased with a trailer. Today the patch has arrived on both Xbox One and PS4 and with it expanded descriptions of what has changed and been added in the update. Combined with the earlier two the post-release support has dramatically altered the gameplay to an extent that the product might be worth considering now.
It would probably be the right time to pick up UFC whenever a good deal is located – it was recently selling at multiple retailers for $30 but isn’t that low right now – given that the sequel isn’t expected to be out until sometime in 2016. Or it could make a good Black Friday pickup when it’ll be around $20. Continue on for the complete details of the latest patch! Read more

EA Sports UFC Upcoming Third Patch
Just over a week ago the first patch for NHL 15 arrived and delivered with it some anticipated content that had been absent at release. Another patch dropped today on Xbox One and PS4 that is more traditional in nature as it affects gameplay, Ultimate Team, and presentation elements. It’s not the promised October update that will add basic Online Team Play and the Draft to Be a GM mode – that’s expected to be out mid-late this month. Read more
A third patch for EA Sports UFC is due out soon and the company has released the details on the more major changes to expect with it. The two earlier patches, and it looks like this upcoming one, will have helped to dramatically alter the gameplay experience. At release EA UFC pleased just about no one and it showed in reviews and sales numbers. To their credit EA seems to have taken the feedback to heart and done a lot of good with the post-release support.
A video has accompanied the news highlighting the two new fighters that will also be added: Gunnar Nelson and Tim Kennedy. Anthony Johnson had been planned for this update but was removed after recent domestic violence allegations were followed by the UFC suspending him indefinitely. Earlier today 2K Sports released a trailer for NBA 2K15’s MyPark and teased The Stage. Now the company has provided expanded details on both.
MyPark and the Jordan Rec Center within it sound compelling. As far as The Stage goes one has to wonder how 2K Sports is getting around this being considered gambling, because it really is, and there are legalities to consider in that. A 45K VC game (the max on PS4) is for all intents and purposes putting $9 on the line – though that cost or the winnings ends up being split between the participants. The Stage is exclusive to PS4 for the first month. Read more
EA Sports today released a new video spotlighting some of the improvements being delivered in NBA Live 15 specific to the offensive side of the ball. The company has yet to do much of anything to demonstrate how Live 15 will be a better product than last year’s but the examples noted here are a good start at attempting to communicate them. The video shows where work has been done to enhance passing, dribbling, shooting, and contact animations. The three week delay has NBA Live 15 set to release on October 28.
