The roster update following week eight of the season is now available Madden NFL 15 on all systems. Huge performances for Ben Roethlisberger, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and others pay dividends in this update with significant ratings jumps. Those of you who don’t like ratings movement based on a single game will absolutely cringe with this week’s developments. Meanwhile Richard Sherman has slipped out of the elite 99 club, which now is made up of just Peyton Manning and J.J. Watt, without any real idea of why that’s happened. Check out all the details on this latest update in the spreadsheet here.
Names on the rise include Gronkowski (+2 to 98), Darrelle Revis (+1 to 98), Justin Houston (+2 to 97), Eric Weddle (+1 to 97), Kyle Williams (+1 to 97), Ndamukong Suh (+1 to 97), Gerald McCoy (+1 to 97), Jamaal Charles (+1 to 97), Drew Brees (+1 to 96), Antonio Brown (+1 to 96), Brady (+2 to 95), Roethlisberger (+3 to 93), Charles Woodson (+2 to 93), Brent Grimes (+1 to 92), Jeremy Maclin (+3 to 89), Emmanuel Sanders (+2 to 88), Khalil Mack (+1 to 88), Brandon LaFell (+3 to 82), Sharrif Floyd (+3 to 82), Mark Ingram (+3 to 82), Jerick McKinnon (+3 to 76), Bashaud Breeland (+3 to 73), and Martavis Bryant (+5 to 72).
Among those taking a tumble in the new roster update are Sherman (-1 to 98), Adrian Peterson (-1 to 96???), Marshawn Lynch (-1 to 94), Geno Atkins (-1 to 93), LeSean McCoy (-1 to 93), Brandon Marshall (-1 to 93), Carl Nicks (-3 to 89), Cam Newton (-2 to 89), Kam Chancellor (-2 to 89), Percy Harvin (-1 to 89), Matt Ryan (-1 to 89), Patrick Peterson (-2 to 87), Joe Flacco (-1 to 87), Desmond Trufant (-2 to 86), Jay Cutler (-1 to 85), Doug Martin (-3 to 81), Mark Barron (-2 to 81), and Coby Fleener (-2 to 77).

With just over two weeks until the game releases Konami today debuted a mode-centric trailer for PES 2015. The demo has been out for over a month now and reception has been generally positive – but it remains a tough sell as FIFA 15 will have been on the market for two months by the time it arrives and it follows the wave of sports games and faces incredibly tough competition for dollars in the gaming space in general.
The extended trailer offers up some good information on myClub, Master League, and Live Updates which are all either new or revamped for 2015. Read more
When considering what the ESPN license means for sports video games most would cite broadcast presentation and maybe commentary teams. However there are other elements that can potentially be implemented and one shines in NBA Live 15. The game has the authentic ESPN camera angles for each arena and it might be the best option to use when playing.
Similar to how the TV camera shifts for baseball pitching views from stadium to stadium, and in MLB: The Show that changes up the way each game looks and even can affect pitching based on the altered angles, the camera placement in NBA arenas vary. NBA Live 15 attempts to replicate what viewers see when watching ESPN/ABC broadcasts. Compared to the default camera they’re pulled back farther and arguably better for playing purposes.
It may have been smart for EA to default to the ESPN camera. Everyone I’ve spoken to about the game prefers it. Not only that but it could be a selling point as it offers something exclusive to their product. Playing in each arena offers a unique and recognizable feel to the NBA fan. Continue on to check out a handful of screenshots from the ESPN camera that displays just how each venue can differ whether it’s slight or more dramatic. Read more

Share Play was introduced in the PS4Â system update yesterday and having spent an evening testing it out what it offers is remarkable. There’s almost too much to go into for a single article so it’ll be discussed at length on the next Press Row Hangout likely to be Saturday night.
In one case I joined Rich Grisham and his NBA Live 15 to play a game against each other “offline” (Live doesn’t have local co-op). As the host he had an ideal offline experience. As the guest I was faced with slight input lag comparable to that of a fairly good online game. It was something I could easily adjust to. Read more
Among the items listed in the day one patch for NBA Live 15 are updated player faces for four specific players. I went in and grabbed three of them for comparison sake to see just how improved the faces are from those that shipped with the game.
Joakim Noah looks the most different with changes more subtle to Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony. Check out the comparison images below by clicking the thumbnails and leave your observations in the comments!
The excellent post-release support for EA Sports UFC continues with the release of a fourth significant patch for the game that delivers more in the way of gameplay improvements as well as three new fighters. It went out today on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and seems to address spamming and balancing issues that were being exploited in online fights. Read more
