Peyton Manning was recently elevated back to the 99 overall club in Madden NFL 15 while Richard Sherman fell out of it last week. It’s possible the two could flip in the next roster update after Manning struggled in New England and Sherman made a terrific interception and also had a pass defensed after rarely being thrown at throughout the season.
Names to look for on the rise this week include Ben Roethlisberger, Tom Brady, Ryan Tannehill, Jeremy Hill, Rob Gronkowski, Mike Evans, DeAndre Hopkins, Allen Hurns, Jason Peters, Junior Galette, Robert Quinn, Shariff Floyd, Robert Ayers, Dan Williams, Bruce Irvin, Mychal Kendricks, James Harrison, Joe Haden, Vontae Davis, and Reshad Jones.
Some that are likely to see a drop include Cam Newton, Philip Rivers, Colin Kaepernick, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brandon Weeden, Ben Tate, Branden Oliver, Trent Williams, Nick McDonald, Kendall Reyes, Lardarius Webb, Alterraun Verner, Andre Hal, and Aqib Talib.
In this episode of The Daily Dish there’s more on the roster updates for NBA 2K15 now that player ratings are being adjusted, 2K is running a sweepstakes for a trip to the NBA All-Star Game, and the latest Press Row Hangout is available to watch.

Over the weekend I wrote about how well 2K Sports has been doing with roster updates for NBA 2K15 – a stark departure from how they have historically struggled to provide any semblance of sufficient post-release support. The new dedication to rosters continues and now the ratings and tendency changes have started to come in making the updates about more than just the reflection of injuries and changes to accessories being worn.
The biggest beneficiaries so far are Chris Bosh, Klay Thompson, and Anthony Davis. Even Tristan Thompson gets recognition for his game-saving performance for the Cavs where he grabbed 12 offensive rebounds. Meanwhile a few highly-touted rookies take a hit following their first performances. Read more
The latest live Press Row Hangout that was held over the weekend was focused on just a handful of topics but ran longer than we typical shoot for as it went for over two hours. So I’ve gone ahead and broken it into segments to make it easier to watch. If you’d prefer to watch in its entirety in a single sitting the complete video is archived on Youtube. Here though are the two segments from the broadcast and the remaining two will be posted tomorrow.
The first video features the intro, our progress being made in leagues (Madden NFL 15, FIFA 15, and MLB 14: The Show) and a quick talk about the Xbox One game Sunset Overdrive. The second centers on the two NBA games with impressions of NBA Live 15, how we’re faring in MyCareer and MyPark with NBA 2K15, and some general discussion about accessibility for each (which comes up in a later segment in relation to controls also).
The Line Drive is a weekly collection of news, links, deal alerts, and updates that didn’t necessarily warrant their own postings.

Post-release support has always been a glaring weakness of the NBA 2K series. One aspect of that has been the lack of consistent roster updates. They were sporadic at best – often inaccurate and wholly inadequate.
That has finally changed with NBA 2K15. Rosters are being updated now on a daily basis and it involves more than just player movement and rotations. Adjustments are being made to accessories and shoes, injuries and returns are being reflected immediately, tendencies are being changed, and “Badges” are being awarded. Today the first ratings changes were made as well. You can see the details on the latest update over at Operation Sports.
With the sales heights NBA 2K has reached consumers deserve improved support in everything from rosters to patches. 2K had at least now addressed the former and hopefully they continue to show that same dedication throughout the season.
In the final Daily Dish of the week an examination of the the review scores for NBA Live 15 and whether enough progress has been shown by the series, more roster updates for NBA 2K15, the latest Madden NFL 15 roster update, a new Press Row Podcast is out, and a look ahead to Saturday night’s Press Row Hangout.

The latest Press Row Podcast features two distinct segments. In the first host Rich Grisham interviews two NBA Live producers about this year’s game and their hopes of where the series could go in the future. Then the full panel returns for a discussion on what appears to be the end of Online Leagues as a priority feature with only Madden now offering a complete and fully functional experience while other series shift their development efforts elsewhere.
